These past few months have been very busy with developing the program, contacting keynote presenters and promoting the GIC to our Australian community and the world.
We are really inspired by this event. It’s been
over 20 years since the GIC was last in Australia, and it might not return for another 20, so it is a unique opportunity for the international breathwork community to come together and experience the vibrant and unique offerings we have down under!
We have an incredible array of keynote presenters. The theme of this conference has been the guiding light – Conscious Breath and the Field of Unknowing. For this reason, we’ve sought practitioners from across modalities that have a strong resonance with this theme. We have announced the following presenters and artists:
Jem
Stone is a First Nations woman with mixed heritage who integrates original knowledge systems into wellness spaces through connection and decolonised learning methods. Jem’s presentation is called Re-imagining our Humanness – The Breath, Unknowing & Indigenous Knowledge: Reconnecting with the Earth. Further information about Jem is available here.
Gina Chick is a rewilding, 5Rhythms, and breathwork facilitator. In 2023, she spent 67 days alone in the Tasmanian wilderness as part of the TV series Alone Australia. Gina won the competition, becoming the second woman to do so. During Alone Australia, Gina taught over 5.5 million Australians how to be with and connect with Country, the
wisdom of grief, and how to let go. Gina is a powerhouse of a human being, and we’re so excited that she’ll be joining us for a special 5Rhythms and Breath keynote event. Further information about Gina and her incredible book, We Are the Stars, is available here.
Suntara and Rosarmy are co-founders of Yin Breathwork, breathwork
teachers, and sound healers. Suntara is one of the world’s leading sound healers, known for his unique and powerful voice combined with instruments including Handpan, Didgeridoo, and Flutes. His sound vibrations penetrate deeply, moving and shifting energy to leave listeners feeling light, clear, and deeply relaxed. Suntara and Rosarmy will be offering a keynote sound healing journey at the GIC. Further information about Suntara and Rosarmy is available here.
Hollie Wildethorn is a psychotherapist, clinical counsellor, and coach working at the dynamic intersections of trauma healing, ecology, and personal empowerment. Hollie’s work weaves together trauma-informed practices, ecological awareness, and self-crafting, inviting individuals to create lives that are deeply authentic and connected. Her unique approach blends sacred ritual, somatic practices, and community wisdom to
guide people in reclaiming their innate power and aligning with their personal truth. Hollie’s presentation is called Embodying the Unknowing: Crafting Self through Belonging. Further information about Hollie is available here.
The GIC team have a few more keynote announcements in the pipeline, so we’re super excited to keep you all posted on these forthcoming announcements.
Of course, the GIC isn’t a passive participatory experience. It is a co-collaborative process. Attendees contribute and offer workshops throughout the week. These workshops could be morning yoga or meditations, mid-morning knowledge sharing or nature-connection activities, and afternoon breathwork workshops. People attend the GIC with the spirit of generosity, creativity and
participation. It’s a breathwork co-creation festival! You might be drawn to sharing a daily practice, a breathwork workshop or supporting people in the integration and creativity tent. Your offerings to community may align with the theme, or they don’t, you have freedom to bring to the GIC whatever you feel called to do.
Of course, you can always just relax around the pool, in your beautiful hotel room or the bushland that surrounds the resort.
