Hi ,

The Global Inspiration Conference 2023 in Kenya was an outstanding success thanks to the efforts of Vincent Aloo and his hard working team. We felt so welcomed to the heart of Africa experiencing the joyful, loving energy of the Kenyan people. Apart from the usual programme of workshops, keynote speakers and the IBF AGM, we were able to learn about the African musical culture through performances and workshops where we were able to make and play traditional instruments through the efforts of Mbutch and Sisonke Papu. There was a lot of dancing going on, a drum circle and a fabulous talent show. Many people also took the opportunity to go on safari or go to the seaside in Mombasa after the conference.

The GIC in Kenya was also an opportunity for JoAnn Lowell and the Conscious Breathing in the Classroom team to train over a hundred Kenyan school teachers in the simple breathing techniques of the programme to be shared with their students.

Andria Falk who worked with the TIBA programme in Kenya for many years, put out a call for people to bring items to the conference which could improve the educational and sports facilities in several schools. The response was well received!

Our attention now turns to the GIC in the Netherlands next year .......

Thank to those of you who brought  baby clothes and shoes, toys, mobile phones, felt tip pens and biros, paper and notebooks, football and tennis equipment .   

‘We managed to sell some phones and bought some balls which the team enjoyed doing the

basics of football.  We are looking to get more balls today.  Since most of our players are

in development stages the balls are really important...Today we managed to sell another phone

for KS  4500  and bought a set of fluorescent bibs. And thanks for the tennis equipment. The team asked me to extend  their gratitude to you and your team. God bless everyone who contributed in one way or another for the project".
