Flow, pulse, shift; these are synonyms for how the earth supports
transitions for itself. On this morning I synced my breath with the back flow of the current under the remaining ice for 30 minutes. The warming river relentlessly seeks out all her purposefully hidden and frozen drops. She pulls the precious dormant icy ridges back into the flow. One could say this lapping looks gentle and inviting, but breathing with it proved it to be a mighty integrative force of will.
Water always finds a way and so does breath. Lau Tzu’s teachings on water flooded my mind just then as I began. Almost gushing , a rage erupted as I matched the current's efforts with my breath. As the water rushed under the ice I inhaled, and exhaled with the backflow. Raging flow, punching pulse, and effortless
cleansing shifts to reclaim that which has been inaccessible within me, but now unlocked. There was also an unexplained urgency that arose to be swift in the effort, as if every drop would be required soon. If you had been walking by I may have looked peaceful, with a graceful ease apparent in the breath, but that carried a torrential emotional undercurrent .
I wonder, Is that what jealous love feels like? Or more specifically is that what the act of sacred unity feels like? Is that an experience of the unending force of Love ?
Ya, I ask questions. Lots of questions. It used to drive my parents crazy but that is how I flow.
As you can see in the
short clip below, the flowing pulse at the base of the rocks in the lower right corner may at first appear chaotic and insignificant but it is a full reclamation in progress.
What are you reclaiming today?
